On November 21, 2024, our creative hub UFO officially landed. Despite a snowstorm, numerous guests made their way to the Unlimited Future’s Office (UFO) to celebrate its arrival.

For all those who would have loved to join us but were kept away by the heavy snowfall – here are a few impressions:

Why do we need the UFO?

The inspirational talk by our co-host Barbara Hutter moved many in the audience – you can read it here.

More highlights:

Nine speakers inspired us with their presentations in a lively Pecha Kucha format, showing how they are becoming part of the solution in times of climate crisis, resource scarcity, and biodiversity loss.
Their projects encourage us to keep going and to stay optimistic about change.

A big thank-you to:

- Patric Rupp from Climatex
- Ralf Schmitz from Vitra
- Stephan Hürlemann from World of Pi
- Esther Kern – Journalistin, Autorin und Gemüse-Scoutin
- Fabian Hörmann from YR22
- Sven Erni from Impact Acoustic
- Michael Eder from Toco
- Andreas Rudin from zuerich.repair
- Frank Riklin from Atelier für Sonderaufgaben

For interstellar sound, DJ Gans Voll set the tone — thank you, Coco! Thanks also to Stefan Jauslin for the tech support. And merci to NORM and NASA for the galactic flyer design.
