Circular economy: Talky is up for rent.

«Own less, use more» – this is an important guideline for Stephan Hürlemann on the way towards a sustainable furniture economy. Following this thought, he considers it trendsetting that his design for a resilient micro architecture Talky (manufacturer: Erich Keller) can be rented through Novu Office since November 2022.

Countless office furniture are either disposed of after being in use for a relatively short time or they fall into oblivion in the vast furniture depots of big enterprises. At the same time, more and more furniture are acquired. These days, when resources have to be saved and CO2 emissions have to be avoided, this situation is all but effective. The furniture industry needs to reinvent itself: Away from the urge to produce as much as possible towards the ambition to offer smart models which serve the people as long and as best as possible.

Talky Room
was designed in 2021 by Stephan Hürlemann and Erich Keller AG as a multi-life product. The box in various sizes can be adapted to individual needs on the inside and the outside. Furthermore, it is repairable and can easily be disassembled in one place and set up in another. In the catalogue of Zurich start up Novu Office, which offers attractive circular rent concepts for modern work surroundings since 2020, Talky Room finally becomes part of a reuse system also on a distributional level.
