Handle collection

Stephan Hürlemann designed a simplistic handle collection for complicated applications. The product line «Appenzell» was developed in cooperation with Glutz, Switzerland’s largest producer of door and window handles, who included "Appenzell" in their standard range in 2018.

“My ambition was to design a product family which offers conclusive and reduced design also for challenging technical situations“, says Hürlemann. From standard to panic door handles, sliding door and window handles to pull and push bars – the product line “Appenzell“ features a coherent design language in the whole scope of common architectural applications. Thanks to the elaborate geometry of the handle with its kink, the unappealing angular bend of door handles for framed doors becomes obsolete. Furthermore, all “Appenzell“ handles can be combined with the Glutz standard rose.
