Sofa family and coffee tables

DS-21, 2016

de Sede, Switzerland

DS-21 brings together the ease and comfort of a seating area with the elegance of high legs. It has the appearance of a floating sculpture, a raised seating area, and can be used in both private and semi-public spaces. The design from Stephan Hürlemann is timeless, though its proportions have a new, fresh appearance. The sofa’s architectural structure stems from a metal frame that surrounds the individual cushions and appears to carry them with ease. The more luxurious elements counterbalance the stark frame. They are designed as modules which can be rearranged. DS-21 is available in various cushion combinations, with leather or fabric upholstery, and in three different frame widths with black or chrome-plated metal legs. A chair completes the seating line. The DS-21 family also comprises coffee tables and side tables with glass plates in a range of different designs, which are based on the same horizontal profile as the sofa’s metal frame.
